“The passion I have for this community will be evident in meaningful ways when given the chance to create partnerships, preserve our waterfront and innovate with our incredible Port Commissioners.”
As a proud Edmonds resident, I'm excited to bring unique and fresh ideas as a Port Commissioner.
Owning a small, family business in Edmonds has given me the experience to create, advocate, and plan for sustainable economic success. If elected, I will continue to maintain the high expectations of environmental responsibility and advocacy for our Port and the surrounding areas. As an elementary school teacher for the past 13 years and earning my PhD at the University of Washington, I have strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills; which are key attributes for a port commissioner. I can bring my expertise as a researcher to every project at the Port.
As Port Commissioner, I will focus on fostering partnerships both private and public to benefit our port districts and Woodway. Partnering with other Edmonds businesses and organizations to create and promote events will stimulate economic growth and give the Edmonds community an opportunity to expand its knowledge of Port stewardship and its importance to a vital Edmonds.
My husband and I settled in Edmonds excited to raise our children here due to it’s unique values, kindness and natural beauty of this great city. It is important to preserve Edmonds’ charm and essence while creating effective economic growth that will benefit all residents.
